本會已於2009年12月20日假晶華酒店四樓貴賓室一、二舉行十二月份「祐生研究聯誼會」。在主持人黃晉英秘書長宣布後揭開當日活動序幕，在來賓介紹、帶唱及為本月份壽星張輝誠先生、吳元宏先生慶生等輕鬆、活潑的節目過後，隨即由主持人帶來重要訊息：「在座各位應該都能感受到，氣候異變確實逐漸嚴重，生態系也開始產生變化，所以祐生要先能自救，才能救人。而正在哥本哈根召開的氣候變遷會議，在已開發中國家意圖限制開發中國家碳的排放量，而開發中國家仍極欲開發不想被限制的情況下，顯然這個會議最終成效是有限的。現今唯有我們本身做好節能減碳的工作，祐生所努力的方向就在此，近年來我們也努力朝國際邁進，將祐生理念與研究成果系統化後在國際舞台上發表，讓更多人知道這個概念。西方文明即將崩解，唯有我們自己走出一條新的道路，才有活存的機會。」隨後，黃晉英秘書長介紹主講人張輝誠先生上臺，隨即進行專題演講。
The December Archilife Research Communion was held on December 20, 2009. After introduced the honorable guests, celebrated birthdays for Mr. Chang Huei-cheng and Mr. Wu Hung-yuan, the birthday persons of December, and led everybody in singing, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying made the following important announcement, "Everyone should have felt by now that climate change is getting increasingly severe, even the ecosystem has changed. Therefore, we must save ourselves before we can save others. At the Copenhagen Climate Conference, industrialized countries attempted to limit the carbon emissions of developing countries, while developing countries seeking development are unwilling to be limited. As a result, the effect of the accord made at the conference will be limited. Therefore, it is necessary for us to put saving energy and reducing carbon into real actions, and it has always been the aim of the foundation. We have been engaging in the internationalization of the foundation in recent years by presenting our beliefs and research findings to the world after externalization in order to share them with more people. Western civilization is about to collapse, and it is necessary for us to find a new way out in order to secure survival." Later on, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying invited Mr. Chang Huei-cheng to deliver a keynote speech.
張輝誠先生為本會群經執守者，本次專題演講題目為「生活經驗與寫作」，主講人以散文的寫作方式來探討如何架構一篇好文章。首先，要學會細讀文章，了解作者的主旨、如何選材以及敘事方式。而散文的基本功之一，是要有「讀者意識」，寫作時先設定好讀者，一但知道對象是誰，寫作時就能意識到必須提供的相關「細節」，細節越多，讀者越能想像，越能身歷其境。懸疑及時間移置的手法也可多加應用。基本功之二，則為虛構與真實，真實即是信者恆信，疑者恆疑，而虛構的必要性，乃因我們的生活過於平淡。而能兼顧情感、知識與趣味的散文，更為吸引人。最後，主講人指出，隨時記憶、觀察與紀錄，加上想像及整合，即能發想而寫作。而精益求精的方法，第一是博覽、壯遊及細思，第二是琢字、多寫及保持好體力。演講完畢，黃晉英秘書長代表基金會致贈禮物予主講人。隨後，介紹新任工程學知識執守者林裕真小姐，並邀請新任執守者發表感言。接著在與會者紛紛利用「餵豬時間」提出個人意見與看法互相交流後，圓滿地結束十二月份聯誼會。
As the ARF Classics Knowledge Keeper, Mr. Chang Huei-cheng delivered a speech on "Life Experience and Writing ". In the speech, Chang explored how to plan a good writing in terms of writing prose. According to Chang, it is necessary for us to learn how to read an article in order to understand the subject matter of the work, and the selection of materials and narration of the author. In writing prose, the "reader awareness " is first basic requirement. We need to assume who the readers are in order to notice what supporting details should be provided. Then, fiction and reality are the second basic requirement. Reality means those who believe will believe forever, and vice versa. We need fictional materials because daily life is boring. Lastly, Chang pointed out that if we can keep a journal, observe and record regularly, and together with imagination and integration, we can find ideas to write. The ways to sharpen writing skills include (1) read extensively, travel more and think carefully; (2) pay attention to diction, write more and remain energetic. After the speech, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying presented a gift to Chang on behalf of the foundation, and introduced the new engineering knowledge keeper Miss Yu-chen Lin, and invited her to give a short speech on her term. Attendees expressed and exchanged their opinions and views during the piggy hour. The December ARF Communion ended smoothly.
