Archilife Research Foundation Convention 2018

  本會已於2018年2月10日假台北文華東方酒店地下二樓文華廳舉行「祐生研究基金會2018年會」。嘉賓們陸續簽到後,藉著會前的聯誼時間以熱絡的氣氛交流互動。接著由主持人黃晉英秘書長宣布後揭開當日活動序幕,在來賓介紹及帶領歌唱、慶生等節目後,隨即由黃晉英秘書長表示,氣候異變影響全球甚鉅,祐生恩梯特組持續進行相關研究,期能發掘因應的對策。在國際化交流過程中,為使祐生理念能順利傳遞,英語能力亦顯得格外重要。另外,本次「祐生謎‧猜」的活動,目的是希望能使祐生成員從預測氣候中,思索應變的方法,因此,未來將不定期舉辦,提醒大家遭遇任何狀況,都要當機立斷、付諸行動,以避免危難產生。接著由指導教授蘇慶華先生致辭,表示目前引領生活特組進行強化祐生潛盾計畫中心可居性的具體方案研究。近來整理研究資料為電子檔時,感受到林俊興董事長將知識保存為微縮影片的前瞻性,在未來能源匱乏的當下,為保住人類智庫最好的方式。
  The Archilife Research Foundation Convention 2018 was held at the Mandarin Ballroom, B2F, Mandarin Oriental Taipei on February 10, 2018. The guests successively signed in at the reception desk and began to be acquainted with others in the event before the meeting, then Secretary General Huang Chin-ying announced the grand opening of the annual convention. After a series of relaxing and fun activities, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying said in her speech that climate change has a great global impact, the Archlife NT Special Team has consistently carried out related research in the hope of discovering countermeasures. During the process of international exchange, English proficiency has become extremely important to successfully convey the ideas of Archlife. Moreover, the purpose of the "Archlife Riddle Guessing" activity is a means for Archlife members to come up with countermeasures from predicting the climate. Therefore, thisactivity will be held irregularly in the future to remind everyone that they have to make prompt decisions and take action to prevent disasters from happening. Instructing professor Mr. Su Ching-hua then made remarks, stating that he is currently leading the research on concrete plans for strengthening the livability of the Archlife Sub-Shield Center. Recently, when he was arranging research data into soft copies, he experienced the far-sight of President Lin Chun-shin to preserve knowledge as microfilm. He believes that when energy is scarce in the future, this is the best way to preserve the wisdom of mankind.
  致辭結束,隨即放映本會2017年度業務執行報告短片,將本會一年以來的各項活動做一精要呈現。接著,放映2018祐生線上博覽會作品,充分呈現出祐生成員們對於「護祐生命」觀點的實踐。緊接著由接續世代林容生先生進行祐生接續世代展望報告,過去幾年來,祐生在台灣資訊領域以及遊戲開發社群相關活動,已逐漸步上軌道。在參與國際會議與國外人士交流過程中,發覺大多數人並不了解各地區中文使用差異,而有所誤解,也因此先前於美國遊戲開發者大會擔任講者時,遂針對此議題進行演講。今年一月份舉辦的Global Game Jam參與國到達108國之多,台灣的身分定位也使得敏感的政治議題一再浮現,這樣的現象將在各個領域中一直重覆出現。所以,請大家準備好面臨台灣在國際中需要角力的時刻,如何取得平衡與應對,以及找到台灣的定位,需要大家一同努力。



  After the speech, a video annual report for 2017 was played, which presented the activities in the past year. Then, the 2018 Archilife Online Exposition followed suit to present how Archilife members realized the foundation's motto: benefit life. Afterwards, Mr. Lin Rung-sheng, a member of the Next Generation, continued his report of generational vision. He stated that in the past few years, the related activities of Archlife in the information field and game developing communities of Taiwan have been gradually getting on track. During his exchange process in international conferences and with foreign people, he discovered that most people did not realize the nuances of the Chinese language used in different areas of the world and this resulted in misunderstandings. Therefore, when he lectured at an American game developer conference, he made a speech on this topic. Given that as many as 108 countries will take part in this year's Global Game Jam, the sensitive political issue of Taiwan's international status has risen again. This issue will repeatedly occur on different occasions. Therefore, he wanted Archlife members to be ready for the moment in finding the balance and responses Taiwan needs to fight in international venues and search for its position. This requires everyone's hard work.
  報告結束,接著由黃晉英秘書長傳達林俊興董事長之年度宣告「從溫度看未來」,內容表示:「溫度計大家都曉得,但都很少看;或者根本不看!通常只透過皮膚感知溫度,這是多數人從小到大養成的習性,才會對溫度計如此陌生。我們都曉得CO₂是溫室氣體,太多會造成暖化現象。這種常識大家都有,但是還是不看溫度計過日子,根本的原因就是不了解溫度與暖化兩者之間到底隱藏什麼樣的關係,又如何影響生活;甚至未來的處境,所以我才會要大家猜猜看:2017年的冬天是暖冬?還是寒冬?答對的有獎。我在此宣布答案,根據我長年的觀察,標準答案應該是:「暴烈化的暖冬」。送給沾到邊的禮物是溫度計兼帶有溼度計的測量儀器,答案完全符合的,獎品再加一級,升等為包括氣壓計的測量儀器。
  獎品雖然很輕,但是意義很重,我希望大家今後可以從溫度變化看到未來!理由說穿了並不難,我們都知道全球暖化的第一個反應就是平均溫度上升了,但是造成溫度上升變化的根本原因是地球物理現象,已不是單純從氣象面向就能詮釋的,可惜大家往往陷入慣性思考盲點,就無法正確解讀氣候異變。如何從地球物理角度闡述溫度的改變?首先跟氣體動力論有關。當溫度升高,氣體分子動能就會加速,氣體就會膨脹,大氣中水分子的密度就會下降。這時候大氣的表現就是乾燥!測量儀器上的表現就是溼度下降!從地球物理的角度來看,當大氣普遍變得乾燥,水分子密度降低,陽光就更容易穿透,地表就會接受更多熱能;同樣的到了夜晚,空氣中少了水分子,蓄熱少了,地表保溫能力就下降!一來一往,有陽光時升溫;沒陽光時降溫,溫差波動比過去要來得劇烈,總體表現就是暴烈化!這就是為什麼我們在2006年發表氣候異變模型的時候,就提到「暴烈化」這個字眼的原因!隨著CO₂再增加促動更暴烈化就是必然的現象。此時重點已不在升溫,而是升溫後造成的乾燥,及乾燥下形成的劇烈溫差,我大膽預測,這樣的趨向遲早在某些地區,會越過多年生喬木的耐候極限,使得大量喬木枯死不生,這就是「沙漠化」!
  因此我希望得獎的各位可以從手上這份小禮品,帶領大家看到未來趨向臨界的年份,可以對自己的人生規劃有再思考的基準。至於未來的趨勢,我們的任務小組已經持續作業十多年了,我相信他們會早一步得到更精準的答案,為大家提供更詳細的變化說明。最後,我期盼各位都能肩負起社會責任,共同為台灣在四百年來再次遇到升溫的情境下,提供一個相對較為優越的基礎,讓後代子孫賴以求生存、謀生計、延生命!」宣告結束,隨即由黃晉英秘書長致贈禮品溫濕度計,予「祐生謎‧猜」獲獎者,預測完全正確的張培臣先生,榮獲氣壓式溫濕度計。
  After the report of generational vision was finished, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying announced the annual announcement of "Seeing the Future from Temperature" from President Lin Chun-shin. The content was as follows: "We all know what a thermometer is but rarely use it or even don't use it at all! We usually perceive the temperature with our skin. This is a habit most of us have grown up with and that is why we are not familiar with thermometers. We all know that CO₂ is a kind of greenhouse gas and too much of it will cause global warming. I believe everybody has this common sense. However, we still live our lives without using thermometers. The primary reason is that we don't understand the hidden relationship between temperature and global warming and how they will affect our lives or even our future. This is why I wanted everybody to make a guess: will the winter of 2017 be a warm one or a cold one? I said I would give out prizes to those who answered it correctly. I hereby announce the answer. According to my long-term observation, the correct answer should be a "violently warm winter". I am going to give out a thermometer with a hygrometer to those who had close answers. For those who answered it correctly, I will upgrade the present to a measuring device that includes a thermometer, hygrometer and barometer.


  Although these prizes are light, they mean a lot. I hope everyone can tell the future by watching the change in temperature! The reason for doing so is not that hard. We all know that the first phenomenon of global warming is that the global average temperature has risen. However, the primary cause for the rising temperature is a physical phenomenon of the Earth and cannot be interpreted simply from the perspective of climate. Unfortunately, everybody tends to be stuck in the blind spot of inertial thinking and fails to explain climate change accurately. How can we explain the change of temperature from the physical perspective of the Earth? First, it is related to kinetic theory. When temperatures rise, the kinetic energy of gas elements will increase, causing gas to expand and reducing the density of water elements in the atmosphere. The atmosphere will become dry in this situation! On devices, the humidity of the atmosphere drops! So from the physical perspective of the Earth, when the atmosphere is commonly dry, the density of water elements decreases. Therefore, it is easier for sunshine to penetrate and the surface will receive more heat. At night, when the atmosphere lacks water elements, it has less thermal storage and the heat-retaining capacity of the surface will drop! When there is sunshine, the temperature rises; when there is no sunshine, the temperature drops. The difference in the change of temperature is more drastic than in the past, resulting in an overall violent phenomenon! That is the reason when we published the climate change model in 2006, we mentioned the term "violent"! With the further increase of CO₂, this violent phenomenon becomes inevitable. The key point now is not the rising temperature, but draughts due to rising temperature and the drastic temperature difference due to draughts. I boldly predict that such a trend will surpass the limitation of perennial trees in certain areas, causing them to die in great numbers. This is the so-called "desertification"!

  Therefore, I hope from these small prizes you have won, I can guide you to see the coming limit of the world in the future and have the data to re-think your life plan. As for trends of the future, given that our team has been working on it for more than 10 years, I believe that they can reach more accurate answers soon and provide everyone with more detailed explanations on these changes. Finally, under the scenario that Taiwan has once again encountered global warming after 400 years, I expect everyone to bear their social responsibility and provide a relatively more outstanding foundation for future generations to survive, sustain and live on!" After the announcement was finished, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying presented thermo-hygrometers to winners of the "Archlife Riddle Guessing". Mr. Chang Pei-chen, who predicted the correctness was awarded a atmospheric pressure thermo-hygrometer.
  祐生成員們藉此機會齊聚一堂,熱鬧非凡,在黃晉英秘書長邀請全體祐生成員合照,感性地做結語後,2018年會就在所有組織成員的努力下及與會來賓對祐生各項活動的認同及喝采聲中圓滿結束。
  Members of Archilife took this opportunity to gather for the annual reunion and enjoy a fun party with each other. After the conclusion made by Secretary General Huang Chin-ying, all members took a group photo together. The Archilife Research Foundation Convention 2018 was successfully closed in recognition of the invited guests on Archilife's efforts and the joyful sounds of cheers.
