Participation in WSBE17 Hong Kong & iiSBE meeting
  為繼續推動祐生國際化的理念,關切全球永續建築領域之各項進展,今年再次組團於2017年6月4日至6月9日間,由iiSBE理事暨社團法人台灣永續建築環境促進會顧問的黃晉英秘書長擔任團長,率領該會理事長蘇慶華教授及成員戴永禔先生、王文安先生、周伯丞先生、李讃虔先生、蕭睿麟先生及王文安先生的指導學生董思偉先生共8人,前往香港參加三年一度的世界永續建築環境(WSBE17 Hong Kong)及iiSBE會議。因為外在環境變化對居住環境有絕對的影響,所以本屆會議特別將"居住環境"納入討論議題之內,於是在WSB之後多了E,使得討論的議題範圍更為擴大。
  To continuously promote the internationalization of Archilife and express concerns about the global development of topics relating to sustainable building (SB), we participated in the triennial WSBE17 & iiSBE meeting held in Hong Kong from June 4-9, 2017, with Secretary General Huang Chin-ying, an iiSBE director and advisor of TSSBE (Taiwan Society of Sustainable Built Environment) as the leader, leading a delegation of eight TSSBE members, including Chairperson Prof. Su Ching-hua and members: Mr. Day Yeong-tyi, Mr. Wang Wen-an, Mr. Chou Po-cheng, Mr. Li Tsan-chien, Mr. Hsiao Ruey-lin, and Mr. Dong Shi-wei, a research student under the supervision of Mr. Wang Wen-an. While the external environmental changes and the living environment are two sides of the same coin, "living environment" has become a conference topic. By adding Environment (E) to World Sustainable Building (WSB), the scope of discussions have extended accordingly.
  雖然香港主辦單位將原先承諾給予的二個場次會議時段取消,但為穩固台灣已奠定的基礎,一行人仍於2017年6月4日早上10:20自桃園機場搭乘長榮航空BR867班機前往香港,並於12:35抵達目的地。在機場大廳也與前來接機的香港綠色建築議會周家明董事寒暄合照。隨後則前往下榻朗廷酒店。黃秘書長為慰勞一行人舟車勞頓,隨即帶領眾團員前往當地銀龍粉麵茶餐廳,品嚐當地著名美食:鮮蝦雲吞麵。
  Although the organizers, Construction Industry Council (CIC) and Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), cancelled the two sessions promised, at 10:20 am on June 4, 2017, the delegation took the EVA Air BR867 flight from Taoyuan International Airport and landed in Hong Kong at 12:35 pm in order to strengthen Taiwan's foundation that has been established in the WSBE circle. HKGBC Director Dr. Benny Chow Ka-ming picked us up in the Hong Kong International Airport lobby. After arriving at the accommodation hotel and settling down, Secretary General Huang took the delegation to Ngan Lung Restaurant to taste a famous local dish, Fresh Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup, to relieve the fatigue of travel for everyone.
  用完餐後,黃秘書長協同蘇慶華教授、戴永禔先生、周伯丞先生與蕭睿麟先生參加iiSBE會議,會前也把握機會與理事及會員們交流寒暄,以鞏固情誼。本次會議除了會務及2019~2020舉辦區域性會議的相關報告外,主要針對執行長Mr. Nils Larsson即將退休而進行一連串組織架構調整事宜進行討論及意見交換,而目前確定新增的地區執行理事則有紐澳地區的Mr. Greg Foliente以及歐洲地區的Mr. Andrea Moro。
  After the meal, Secretary General Huang, Prof. Su Ching-hua, Mr. Day Yeong-tyi, Mr. Chou Po-cheng, and Mr. Hsiao Ruey-lin went to The Harbourview Hong Kong to attend the iiSBE meeting. Before the meeting began, we took every opportunity to chat with directors and members to consolidate our friendship. Apart from reporting the iiSBE routine and regional conferences that will be held in 2019-2020, the organizational structure change after the retirement of CEO Mr. Nils Larsson was the focus of discussion and opinion exchange. Currently, new regional executive directors Mr. Greg Foliente of New Zealand and Australia and Mr. Andrea Moro of Europe have been confirmed.
  6月5日早上,由黃晉英秘書長率領團員們前往香港會議展覽中心參加本次大會開幕式。本次會議計舉辦三天,總共有來自57個國家,約1800人參與共95場的學術議程,除了專題演講、業界展覽及城市參訪行程等外,尚有480篇論文演說發表及52篇論文海報發表。本次會議以「建築環境變革:創新、融合、實踐」為主題,並聚焦低耗能建築及生態與環保永續及關懷居住品質等。
  On the morning of June 5, Secretary General Huang took the delegation to attend the opening ceremony of WSBE17 Hong Kong. It lasted for three days with about 1,800 participants from 57 countries, attending 95 academic sessions. In addition to the keynotes, exhibitions and city tours, there were 480 papers for oral presentations and 52 papers for poster presentations. With the theme of "Transforming Our Built Environment through Innovation and Integration: Putting Ideas into Action", it focused on low energy buildings, ecological and environmental sustainability and living quality concerns.


  開幕式由香港特首梁振英先生擔任開幕典禮主禮嘉賓,先介紹了代表本屆會議的保育物種「裳鳳蝶」,象徵香港都市與郊野環境密不可分並向與會人員展示香港極為重視永續發展的行動。接著由中國國務院參事暨中國城市科學研究會理事長仇保興先生以華語向與會者報告,中國約有40%的建築企業有意願往永續建築領域發展。尤其在美國總統川普先生宣布退出巴黎氣候協定後,中國與歐盟更要扛起環境保護的責任。香港官方代表張建宗先生表示香港因地小人稠,發展重點著重在“如何增加住屋可居性、推動綠建築與保有至少18%面積的原生樹林”三大項。中華人民共和國住房和城鄉建設部建築節能與科技司司長蘇蘊山先生則表示,根據評估,在中國建築的七大階段中,耗能項目最高的為“運行”,是降低能源消耗的主要目標。目前中國已有部分省份對於新建築採取“強制符合綠色建築條件”的要求,再生能源也將會併入永續建築的討論範圍中。而全球氣候能源市長盟約副主席菲格拉斯女士則感謝川普刺激各界表態對巴黎氣候協定的支持,更願意承擔對氣候變化之責任。此外,她也鼓勵以市場力量推動應對氣候變化。
  The opening ceremony was chaired by Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying of Hong Kong SAR. Leung started with an introduction of the protective species: the common birdwing (Troides Helena) that represents the conference and symbolizes the inseparability of urban and rural environments in Hong Kong. After that, he continued with the actions emphasized in Hong Kong for sustainable development. Then, Dr. QIU Baoxing, Counselor of the National Council and Representative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, People's Republic of China, reported in Mandarin that about 40% of Chinese construction companies are willing to practice sustainable building, China and the EU must assume the responsibility for environmental protection after US President Trump withdrew from the Paris Accord. The HKSAR government representative Mr. Mattew Cheung Kin-Chung reported that as Hong Kong is overpopulated, and discussed the three main foci of development, "how to improve housing livability, promote green building and retain at least 18% area for native forest". According to Director Su Yunshan of the Department of Building Energy Saving and Technology, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, People's Republic of China, estimates show that "operation" is the most energy-consuming item among the seven stages of buildings in China and the prime target for energy reduction. Some China provinces have imposed "compulsory actions for compliance with green building requirements" on new buildings, and renewable energy will also be included in the scope of sustainable building discussion. Deputy Chairperson, Mrs. Christiana Figueres, the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, thanked for Trump's withdrawal, which has stimulated all spheres to support the Accord de Paris and to share the responsibility for climate change. She also encouraged the promotion of address to climate change with the market power.
  6月5日的會議共有128人次的演說論文發表,除了有歐洲國家介紹該國的綠建築現況與政策外,也有利用大數據來評估人類居住品質的報告,以減低為滿足人類舒適而造成的能量消耗,達成以房為本、以人為本及超低能耗的三階段目標。綠建築則以逐漸邁向智慧建築及降低碳足跡為目標。中國在永續建築方面則採取軟硬兼施的態度,給予充足資金與強硬的政策來推行。能耗計算方面則是以年度總能耗來評估是否有達到節省能量的效果。在展覽會場上,黃秘書長與團員們也連袂參觀了各國永續建築的作品展,並與參展單位進行意見交流。了解香港政府如何在地狹人稠、缺乏淡水資源的島嶼上,將環境永續的想法應用到實際生活案例上。所提出的方案包含:水資源的再生與水體活化、人類與自然共存的生態城市、利用再生能源緩和能源問題及碳排放、面對災難的排水防洪的計畫、再利用現有建築、再循環貨櫃等多層面的措施。香港有港都之稱,會後到香港著名景點淺水灣,當地也是高級住宅區,沙灘相當寬闊、景色更是優美別緻。
  On June 5, 128 participants presented papers. In addition to some European countries introducing the green building status and policies of their countries, some presented assessment reports on human living quality with big data to reduce energy consumed to fulfill human comfort, to achieve the goals at three stages: building focus, people focus and ultralow energy consumption. Toward smart buildings and low carbon footprint is the goal for green buildings. In sustainable building promotion, China adopted a hard-and-soft together approach to provide abundant funds and adopt strong policies to achieve this goal. In energy calculations, the annual total consumption will be used to assess the effect of energy conservation. At the exhibition venue, Secretary General Huang and delegates visited the exhibition of sustainable building works and exchanged opinions with exhibitors, in order to understand how the HKSAR government puts the ideas of sustainable environment into actions on a crowded and highly populated island with fresh water scarcity. The solutions are comprehensive, including the regeneration of water resources and revitalization of water bodies, building an eco-friendly city for the co-existence of human beings and nature, relieving energy problems and carbon emissions with renewable energy, the drainage and flood control plans for disaster response, reuse of existing buildings, and cargo container recycling.Hong Kong is also called the Harbour city. After the meeting, we went to Repulse Bay, the famous scenic spot and a high-level residential area in Hong Kong as well. Its beach is very broad and scenery is absolutely beautiful and chic.


  6月6日一早先入境隨俗,體察市民生活。當天會議共有140人次的演說論文發表,內容以建築設計為主,包含用實際案例來說明如何善用天然資源減少生活耗用的資源。此外,也有探討如何利用溫度與時間的對應關係,在建築設計時就能考慮到都市的微氣候與建築的能源利用模式。重新思考如何利用“天井”的建築設計,達到“零耗能狀態”。在大會中,也首度有報告者引用了“親生物性”的觀念,主張人類有一種親近自然世界的本能,具有「與其他生命型式相接觸的欲望」。因此,有些設計理念將此一專有名詞應用在生態城市的概念中,例如:魚菜共生、藻魚共生及景觀園藝與永續建築並存等等。在中場休息期間,也有來自德國的團隊前來討論關於永續建築的想法,戴永禔先生介紹了生態學觀念應用在永續建築的構想,李讃虔先生也介紹了利用藻類的生物資源應用在永續建築的海報,雙方在交談後互換名片,保持聯繫。
  On June 6, we adapted to experience civil life in the early morning. 140 participants presented papers on contents featuring architectural design, including how to reduce resources consumption in daily life with natural resources through case study. In addition, some investigated the model for combining micro climate and building energy use in architectural design based on the temperature-time correlation, and some re-considered the use of the "atrium" design to achieve the zero-energy building. Some presenters applied the "biophilia" concept to claim the "love for nature" and the "desire to contact with other life forms" in human nature, such as aquaponics, algae-fish symbiosis, and the co-existence of landscape horticulture and sustainable building. During the break, participants from Germany came and discussed the idea of sustainable building with us. Mr. Day Yeong-tyi introduced the concept of applying ecology to sustainable buildings. Mr. Li Tsan-chien also introduced posters on using the algae resources to sustainable building. Both sides exchanged business cards for future contacts.
  傍晚由黃秘書長、蘇慶華教授、周伯丞先生與蕭睿麟先生參與大會主辦的晚宴。在晚宴中,黃秘書長也一一跟與會的貴賓及相識的國際友人寒喧致意,並廣泛交流。而來自加拿大的專題演講人Raymond Cole教授,也特地前來問候黃秘書長並詢問祐生生活研究中心之現況。最後大會特別安排出席的黃秘書長與其他總會理事及本次大會重要人物一同上台亮相,以歡樂的畫面,為本屆的晚宴,畫下完美的句點。
  In the evening, Secretary General Huang, Professor Su Ching-hua, Mr. Chou Po-cheng and Mr. Hsiao Ruey-lin attended the Gala Dinner. Secretary General Huang socialized and exchanged opinions with other attendees and international friends. Keynote speaker Professor Raymond Cole from Canada also greeted Secretary General Huang and asked about the current status of Archilife Living Research Center. Lastly, the organizers arranged Secretary General Huang and other iiSBE directors and conference VIPs to appear on the stage to create a perfect ending with a Gala Dinner and a joyous group picture.

  沒參加Gala dinner的團員,李讃虔先生及董思偉先生則前往廟街體驗當地夜市生活。回程時,沿著彌敦道一路南行,可以看到九龍著名的柏麗購物大道及香港難得一見的回教建築九龍清真寺。
  In the same time, Mr. Li Tsan-chien and Mr. Dong Shi-wei explored the local night market life in Temple Street. On their return along Nathan Road toward south, they passed by the famous Park Lane and Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre, a rare mosque building.


  6月7日利用會前空檔,前往九龍公園參觀,這裡曾經是林則徐先生在鴉片戰爭期間督促建立砲台的所在地。現在因為擁有大片樹林,所以吸引許多鳥類前來駐足,包含火鶴、天鵝及番鴨等。公園內還有一座由英軍營房改建而成的「香港文物探知館」,及九龍地區唯一適合舉辦國際賽事的露天游泳池。
  On June 7, when no activity was arranged, the delegation visited the Kowloon Park where a fort was built during the Opium War of 1840 under the supervision of Lin Zexu, Viceroy of Liangguang. Today, the large forest in the park has attracted different kinds of birds, such as the flamingo, the swan and the Muscovy duck. Inside the park, there was The Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre refurbished from a former British Army barrack and the only open-air swimming pool for international events in Kowloon.
  6月7日的會議共有212人次的演說論文發表,演講內容是以建築材料為主。目前最環保的建材是木頭,可說是“減碳最佳的建材”,但依照樹種不同,也有不同的用途,諸如:大型檜木、喬木與竹子,都有其不同的特徵屬性,可以依照屬性來架構出良好的“樹屋”或木屋。另外,也有針對屋頂在覆上一層材料來反射陽光,達到降低室內溫度的效果。零能源建築並不是指完全不使用能源,而是能源產生與消耗能達到相等的程度,能源產生的管道目前已知不少,主要還是以太陽能板與植物及藻類為主。其中本團成員李讃虔先生所投稿的內容就是以德國漢堡市的藻類綠建築為基礎,再往前發展出藻類的多功能性,利用選種及改變培養環境的方式,讓藻類綠建築能成為多功能生產型建築物,而不再是目前已達到“零耗能”水準的藻類綠建築。這種導入生物多樣性及生物資源的構想,未來勢必也會有人提出相關構想。
  On June 7, 212 participants presented papers, with speeches focusing on construction materials. Currently, wood is the eco-friendliest construction materials and considered as "a material with the best carbon reduction effect." However, the usage of wood varies by species. For example, we can build good "tree houses" or log cabins with the cypress (Cupressaceae), arbors, and bamboo based on the species-specific properties. In addition, a light-reflecting coating can be painted on the roof surface to reflect sunlight so as to reduce indoor temperature. A zero-energy building does not really mean zero energy consumption. Instead, it means a build that can produce energy equivalent to the consumption. There are many ways known for energy production, and solar panels, plants, and algae are the most common among others. In his paper, instead of the "zero-energy" algae-powered building, Mr. Li Tsan-chien of Archilife recommended the diversification of algae functions to turn algae-powered buildings into multifunctional, productive buildings with the algae-powered building in Hamburg, Germany, as an example. Related ideas of combining biodiversity and biomass resources will surely be introduced in the future.
  午餐時段,大會安排了一場高中生以「齊齊行動紓緩氣候變化」為題的英語演講比賽,讓年輕學子們也有機會參與環境永續的議題。其次,大會也展示了這次會議專用袋上的圖案,其實是小學生在香港綠色建築週「綠色香港:我家‧我城」繪畫比賽的冠軍作品。將同學的創意變成大會送給來自世界各地專家的「紀念品」。
  At the lunch break, the organizer arranged an English speech contest themed "Act On Climate Change - Together, Now!" for young students to take part in environmental sustainability. In addition, the organizer also demonstrated the pattern on the conference kit pack. It is the champion work of the art contest entitled "Green Hong Kong: My Home and My City" organized by HKGBC. That is, the organizer presented the creativity of students as the "souvenir" of experts across the world.
  下午場次的演講內容,除了生物相關建材外,也有利用礦物的特質進行二氧化碳吸附後,使結構更為緊密的材質,對於環境永續與新科技的發展皆有很大的助益。利用具有超吸附力與聚合功能纖維,使水泥狀的建材能夠進行自我修復。其次也有利用動態玻璃來調節光線照射進入室內角度與光強度的技術,可以有效的穩定室內溫度,降低能源消耗。
  In the afternoon speeches, apart from bio-related construction materials, some proposed the use of minerals to absorb carbon dioxide to fortify material structure, which can benefit both sustainable environment and new technology development. Fibers with absorption and polymerization functions enable the self-repair of cement-typed construction materials. Some suggested using dynamic glass to adjust the angle and strength of light entering the dwelling to effectively stabilize indoor temperature and reduce energy consumption.
  在所有會議結束後,本屆的大會也隨著閉幕式進入了尾聲。在閉幕式上,由來自加拿大卑詩大學建築及園藝建築學系的Raymond Cole教授再次強調了全球暖化的現象仍在持續進行,所延伸出來的氣候劇烈變化,將會導致地球各處發生嚴重災難,此有賴於各國政府間的相互合作,共同讓地球生活環境得以永續。最後則由Mr. Nils Larrson宣布:下一屆永續建築國際會議WSBE20將在2020年6月9至11日於瑞典第二大城哥特堡Göteborg舉辦。黃秘書長也以iiSBE總會台灣理事身分在閉幕典禮上台與大會重要人物合照,顯示台灣在這次會議上,依舊能站穩自己的腳步並獲得尊重。
  The closure of WSBE17 Hong Kong was drawing near as all meeting ended. In the closing ceremony, Professor Raymond Cole of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, University of British Columbia, Canada, re-stressed that global warming is still in progress, and the resulting extreme weather change will cause severe disasters in all parts of the world. Therefore, it needs intergovernmental cooperation to sustain the living environment on the Earth. Lastly, Mr. Nils Larrson announced that the next World Sustainable Built Environment Conference (WSBE20) will be held in Göteborg, the second largest city of Sweden, during June 9-11, 2020. Secretary General Huang also took pictures with the conference VIPs on the stage as an iiSBE director from Taiwan. This suggests that Taiwan has successfully maintained its pace and earned global respect at the conference.


  會議後,黃秘書長也在御寶軒設宴款待團員們的辛勞並交流彼此的心得與收穫,此處正好可以居高臨下,觀賞幻彩詠香江燈光秀。從九龍尖沙咀一側觀看,才能真正感受到其規模之浩大,能進入金氏世界紀錄果然名不虛傳,綜觀整個香港島的一面,這段燈光秀主要由名建築師貝聿銘設計的中銀大廈、匯豐銀行總行大廈、香港大會堂、友邦金融中心這幾棟大樓的燈光與顏色會隨著音樂節奏而有不同的變化,其他的建築則是以閃動的方式展現。在餐會中,大家聊著此次的大會點點滴滴,在知識層面上,有了不少收穫;在國際舞台上,也得到許多的尊重。並且更加確定祐生在10多年前提出來的全球暖化與共生理念,在本屆會議中再次被提出來當作重點。在這邊吃高檔料理,邊吹涼風看燈光秀的氛圍下,如此幸福美滿,夫復何求?一個完美的香港之夜。
  After the WSBE17 Hong Kong ended, Secretary General Huang held a feast at Imperial Treasure to reward delegates for their efforts and provide them an opportunity to exchange the lesson learned from the event. From the restaurant, we could enjoy the light show named "A Symphony of Lights". Tsim Shat Sui in Kowloon was the idea spot to appreciate the magnificence of the show. This Guinness World Records light show has a well-deserved reputation. In the show on the Hong Kong Island side designed by celebrated architect Leoh Ming Pei featuring the Bank of China Tower, HSBC Main Building, Hong Kong City Hall, and AIA Central, the light and color changed as the music rhythm shifted, while other buildings were presented in flash. At the feast, everyone talked about the bits and pieces of the conference and agreed that they had learned a lot and earned much respect on the international stage. They also confirmed that the global warming and symbiosis concepts proposed by Archilife over a decade ago were re-discussed as a new focus of the conference. Enjoying fine foods at a classy restaurant and appreciating the spectacular light show with the caress of the gentle sea breeze, such happiness, and perfection, what else more should we ask for? It was a perfect night in Hong Kong.
  6月8日一大早,團員們前往實地參觀三間元老級飯店的真面目,依序是1881年建立的「前水警總部酒店」、1901年開業的「香港基督教青年會」、及1928年開幕的六星級「半島酒店」。
  In the early morning of June 8, delegates visited three more than century old hotels: Hullett House built in 1881, The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong started operations in 1901, and The Peninsula Hong Kong, a six-star hotel opened in 1928.
  參觀完這三座元老級旅館後,接著出發前往南ㄚ島,遠離塵囂,走向自然。南ㄚ島榕樹灣居民以農、漁業為生,大多生活資源皆從外島運來,因此物價也相當高昂。但因為安逸寧靜,吸引了許多外國人士來此居住,街上也因此開設了不少西式餐廳、酒館及手工藝品。黃秘書長也宴請大家到「B。B海景餐廳」大快朵頤一番。
  After visiting those three more than century old hotels, they set out for the Lamma Island to be free of the hustle and bustle toward nature. While Yung Shue Wan citizens are mostly farmers and fishermen and daily materials are shipped from outlying island, the local commodity prices are very high. However, many foreigners settle here for its serenity and quiet. There are many western restaurants, bars and craft shops in the street. Secretary General Huang invited everybody to enjoy a great meal at the B‧B Seaview Restaurant.
  吃完正餐後,就開始當天的爬山行程。一路上,草木扶疏、綠意盎然,團員當中有半數是生物學家,此時也開始討論起動、植物辨識,像是為數眾多的燈籠花、落地生根、竹節秋海棠、三角霸王鞭等等,都難不倒大家。大家也邊走邊聊著植物的用途,讓人不禁聯想起,生物多樣性資源所代表的,就像是銀行裡的存款,資源與金額雖然會緩緩的增加,人類若適當取用,有效管理,存摺的數字就會越來越多,若抱持著榨乾、貪婪的心態來經營,最後將會提前用盡存款、債留子孫。人類與環境共存共榮,乃是永續發展的根基。
  After the meal, a hiking trip began. On the road, grasses and trees were exuberating and the sense of green abounded. As half of the delegates are biologists, they began a plant discussion and identification, such as the lantern flowers (Agapetes lacei), the air plant (Bryophyllum pinnatum), the trout begonia (Begonia maculata) and the marble column (Euphorbia trigona). When they were discussing the application of plants on the way, we cannot help thinking that biodiversity resources are like savings in the bank. Although the amount increases slowly, through proper use and effective management, the number will gradually increase. By contrast, if we run this mission through exploitation and greed, the savings will be depleted earlier and debts will be left to future generations. The co-existence and co-prosperity between human beings and the environment is the foundation for sustainable development.
  在經過一段翻山越嶺的「家樂徑」後,在一個轉角的大樹旁,團員們看到一大群鳳蝶在樹的旁邊漫天飛舞,有的團員你一言我一句地唱起了「梁山伯與祝英台」,路過的旅客紛紛拿起相機,讓翩翩起舞的瞬間,成了永恆的畫面。
  After finishing the "Family Walk", we saw a swarm of swallowtail butterflies (Papilionidae) dancing around a tree in the corner. Some delegates began singing the song "Butterfly Lovers". Other travelers took out their cameras to capture that dancing moment into eternal pictures.


  到了「索罟灣」後,廣場上可見到有190年歷史的天后宮,大家在此參拜、攝影留念後,就到今天行程的最終站,曾多次得到香港美食大賞『至高榮譽金獎』的「天虹海鮮酒家」,黃秘書長以正式桌菜宴請大家,品嚐道地的海鮮料理。在一飽眼福、滿足口腹之欲後,搭船返回尖沙咀天星碼頭。途中看到長達2公里、有著全球最長行車鐵路雙用懸索吊橋的青馬大橋,讓人讚嘆造橋者的設計與功力。在1999年,這座大橋還是美國建築界選出的「二十世紀十大建築成就獎」之一的作品。
  On the Sok Kwu Wan square there stands a 190-year-old Tin Hau Temple. After worshipping and taking pictures, we arrived at the final destination: Lamma Rainbow Restaurant, the gold medalist with distinction for many times at "The Best of the Best Culinary Awards". Secretary General Huang ordered an official set meal to taste the authentic seafood cuisine. After satiating the sightseeing and food desire, the delegation took a ferry back to the Star Ferry pier in Tsim Sha Tsui. On the journey, they saw the world's longest, 2km, double-deck for automobiles and trains, span suspension Tsing Ma Bridge, making them marveled at the design and ability of the builder. In 1999, the bridge was selected as one of the "Top Ten Construction Achievements of the 20th Century" by the US construction circle.
  收穫滿滿的行程終究還是來到尾聲。2017年6月9日,團員們起個大早,利用晨間時光,到地鐵金鐘站走訪了前身為「域多利兵房」上半部的「香港公園」。公園占地約8公頃,堪稱一座具有教育功能的植物園,也保留不少古蹟,像是:舊三軍司令官邸、華福樓(現已改為觀鳥園教育中心),是值得推薦到此一遊的地方。
  In the early morning on 9 June 2017, delegates visited the Hong Kong Park which is as the upper Victoria Barracks near the MRT Admiralty Station. Occupying an area of 8 hectares, it is an educational botanical garden with lots of historical monuments, such as the Flagstaff House and Wavell Block (now the Youde Aviary), making it a recommended sight for seeing.
  在結束所有考察行程後,團員們搭乘15:25分,飛往桃園機場的長榮航空BR870班機,於6月9日17:10平安抵達桃園機場,圓滿結束本次的WSBE17的行程。
  After finishing all investigation missions, the delegation took the EVA Air BR870 flight at 15:25 for the Taoyuan International Airport. When the flight landed on the airport at 17:10 on June 9, the WSBE17 mission ended smoothly.
  本次組團參與WSBE17 Hong Kong會議以及iiSBE會議,除發表與共生化及數位化相關的演說及海報論文外,更重要的是加強並穩固台灣在iiSBE組織的地位,若想要在國際組織裡持續發聲,仍然需要與其他組織建立更緊密的連結,如此方能將祐生的理念讓更多國際人士瞭解,台灣團隊也才能在WSBE會議中得知永續建築在其他各國的新技術發展或政策上的轉變,以及各國地區性、在地化等永續發展議題。
  In addition to delivering speeches and presenting poster papers on topics relating to symbiosis and digitization at the WSBE17 Hong Kong and iiSBE meeting, it is more important to consolidate Taiwan's status in iiSBE. If we wish to speak in international organizations again, we must establish closer links with other organizations. Apart from enabling more people to understand Archilife's belief, this is the only way for Taiwanese teams to keep up with the development of new technology or the policy change in sustainable building, and the regional and local sustainable development of different countries.
