First December 2009 Research of Symbiosis Funding Project Steering Conference

  2009年12月份第一次共生化之研究獎助研究案指導會議,於2009年12月10日,假本會「蟲洞」、祐生環控研究中心召開。在林俊興董事長主持下,由黃晉英秘書長召集祐生環控研究中心、祐生生活研究中心諸位指導教授、主持人、共同主持人、專任行政助理、指定研究助理等,共同參與會議。
  The First December 2009 Research of Symbiosis Funding Project Steering Conference was held at the Archilife Wormhole and Archilife Environ-Control Research Center on December 10, 2009. Under the direction of President Lin Chun-shin, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying invited the supervisors, principal investigators, co-principal investigators, full-time administrative assistants and the assistants of supervised research projects of the Archilife Environ-Control Research Center and Archilife Living Research Center to the Research of Symbiosis Funding Project Steering Conference.

  首先,林俊興董事長表示,由於全球氣候異變加劇,勢必憾動原有生態體系,進而造成糧食不足、疫病等災難。針對襲捲而來的危機,祐生提出的對策,就是「就地躲避、垂直遷徙」,期能利用海拔兩、三百公尺的高度差異,有效因應氣候災難威脅。因此,未來極限結構可能每十年就必須遷徙一次,所以各研究組現階段最重要的命題,就是要研擬出具體可行的極限結構操作手法。接著,江哲銘教授表示,祐生環控研究中心各研究組,將以輕量、快速拆裝等面向,思考、建構極限結構,以滿足人類未來生存的需求。
  First, President Lin Chun-shin pointed out that the acceleration of global climate change will surely shake the existing ecosystem and thus cause food insufficiency and epidemics. Facing these upcoming crises, Archilife has proposed the "local evacuation and vertical movement" policy as a solution, hoping to effectively address the threats of climate calamities by going up to 200-300m elevation. As we may need to move the extreme structure once a decade, it is necessary for all research groups to find out the practical and feasible operations of the extreme structure at this moment. Later on, Professor Chiang Che-ming added, lightweight and quick assembly and disassembly extreme structures will be the focus of research of the Archilife Environ-Control Research Center in order to fulfill the future needs of human survival.

  隨後,由祐生環控研究中心各研究組,分別報告研究內容、進度。陳念祖先生表示,極限結構的構件,將以輕型鋼構與竹林為主;張桂鳳小姐表示,將依區域環境的災變評估結果,擇取極限結構的設置基地;王為先生表示,將針對生土建材,進行相關力學的探討;李彥頤先生表示,將積極探討快速組裝的住居方式;林芳銘先生表示,將探討維生生活櫃與主結構的關聯性;林得恩先生表示,將依照「就地躲避、垂直遷徙」的概念,建構氣候異變抗災防護系統。在各研究組完成報告後,其他與會研究組紛紛就報告內容,提出具體的看法與建議。
  Then, research groups of the Archilife Environ-Control Research Center presented the status report of their research projects one after another. According to Mr. Chen Nien-chu, light steel structure and bamboo forest will be the main components of the extreme structure. Miss Chang Kuei-feng highlighted that the location of the extreme structure will be selected according to the calamity assessment results of individual areas. Mr. Wang Wei indicated that the dynamics of natural soil construction materials will be explored. Mr. Li Yen-yi maintained that quick assembly housing will be investigated aggressively. Mr. Lin Fang-ming continued that the interrelations between the life-sustaining chamber and master structure will be explored. Mr. Lin De-en pointed out that the climate change defense system will be constructed based on the ‘local evacuation and vertical movement’ concept. After finishing the status report, research groups began exchanging their opinions and made recommendations for the report contents.

  會議結束前,林俊興董事長表示,各研究組要將基地的縱深與垂直高度列入考量,才能具體鋪陳極限結構的細部構造。細部構造並非僅指結構,包括集水、食物儲存等,都要引入極限概念,才能在巨大災難發生的關鍵時刻,發揮庇護作用,有效保全人類生命。在林俊興董事長結束談話後,本次指導會議至此順利完成。
  Before the conference was adjourned, President Lin Chun-shin pointed out that research groups should also consider the central depth and vertical height of the foundation in order to make practical plans for the detailed structures of the extreme structure. In addition to the structure alone, these include water collection and food storage. We must include the extreme concept in everything in order to display the life protection function of the extreme structure in the critical moment of calamities. The steering conference ended smoothly after the conversation of President Lin Chun-shin.
